Check out the video to relive the mixer!

On November 8th, Dropbox sponsored AfroTech in San Francisco, the third annual conference founded by Blavity, to bring together Blacks and African-Americans techies and innovators.

To kick off the conference, we opened our doors to ~100 potential Dropboxers in hopes of meeting talent to help propel us forward. The get together was filled with food, drinks, a DJ, and a poet, so people could meet Dropbox! Quentin Clark, SVP of Engineering, Product, and Design welcomed the crowd. Mistress of ceremonies for the evening was our Global Head of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Angela Roseboro. Poet Prentice Powell performed some spoken word, and we ended the night with a panel of Dropboxers from across the business.

Networking!

During the conference, Dropboxers attended sessions and represented our company at our sponsored booth on recruiting row. We were able to meet and chat with engineering and business candidates from all over the world, and share our story of how we believe the world can work better.

Thanks to the team from Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion, Diversity Recruiting, and Talent Brand who helped to make the event possible. Next year, Blavity is taking the conference to Oakland and we’re already excited to bring in another talented group to our home away from home.
