With over a dozen locations across the world, all of our Dropbox offices are unique in the way they operate, celebrate, and work with each other. One such site is Tel Aviv, which roughly 60 Dropboxers call home.

Sitting high above the Tel Aviv skyline, this office has so many unique features to love. They have their own version of iconic Dropbox rooms, including their own gourmet Tuck Shop, a music studio, and a deep focus room. The walls are decorated with unique one-of-a-kind murals, light installations, and photographs reflecting the beautiful local culture that these Dropboxers are a part of.

As our only engineering hub in EMEA, 99% of the Tel Aviv office team works in EPD (engineering, product, and design) as part of the Enterprise line of business. The work they do might not be easily seen, but is far-reaching: they help IT Admins deploy and manage their Dropbox accounts, coordinate the tooling organizations need to oversee sharing, and support federal and legal needs. These efforts require incredibly coordinated teamwork, something the Dropboxers here pride themselves on.

Even when they’re not working, the Tel Aviv office still sticks together. They consider themselves one big family — there’s always a fun office activity coming up for people to join in on, like a road trip, a yoga retreat, or a ping pong tournament. Hack Week is no exception; Tel Aviv is famous across our offices for the arcade game machine they designed one year that includes ~1700 games for Dropboxers and visitors alike to play.

But it’s not just all about play for this team. They also devote some of their endless energies to community enrichment. They’ve developed a strong partnership with QueenB, a non-profit organization founded by computer science students in the Hebrew University, which seeks to “create a just society by helping young women achieve equal representation in the hi-tech field at all levels starting with junior software development to key top-level management positions.” This year alone, the team has participated in and judged QueenB hackathons, mentored students, and hosted office visits for young women interested in joining the tech world.
