Q: What is your name, what office do you work out of, and how long have you been at Dropbox?

A: Hi, I am Tiffany Carrell. I am in the SF office and have been with Dropbox since June 2018. There is a part of my heart that will always be in the Austin office. I was only there about a month, but it made a deep and lasting impression.

Q: What’s your current role in helping make the world work better?

A: I am the service design manager and a lead on the Customer Education team. Although we are a fairly new team, we are all working hard to make sure our users can do their best work with and through Dropbox. We have a lot in the pipeline, so it is a really exciting time.

Q: In your time at Dropbox, what’s something you’ve accomplished that you’re proud of?

A: There is quite a bit that our team has released and is in the works. One of the things we are most proud of is that we have seen a positive correlation between users’ exposure to our educational resources (on how to use Dropbox) and increased loyalty (NPS) and product use. Because of this, we expanded our resources and outreach — which led to a 250% increase in the number of people who have used our educational tools in the first quarter! Our goal, by the end of the year, is to realize a 4100% total increase. Let me know if you have some ideas…

Q: What does this year’s theme, Love is ___, mean to you?

A: Love is work. No, I don’t mean I love work. I do love my work, but love is something that you want to and should work at. That could be family, relationships, hobbies, or something else completely. But if you want it to be a part of your life, be prepared to work with it and for it.

Q: Do you have any advice or suggestions on how to be a better ally?

A: A big thing is that it is not our job, obligation, or responsibility to educate you on what it is like to be us. With that being said, if you have a relationship with someone and they welcome questions, ask! Just please don’t use “I was just asking a question!” as an excuse to be a jerk. Most importantly, thank you for being an ally.

Q: What are you most excited for with this year’s Pride Month at Dropbox?

A: After seeing how hard members of Pridebox have worked leading up to June, I am super excited to see everyone’s ideas and passions come to fruition!
