Have you ever noticed that some people claim they don’t care what you do or whom you do it with, but they ask a million questions anyway? Have you ever had someone start out by saying “What you do is your business, but…”? I often wonder “Why do they care?”
People like to control things. They like to BE in control. It is basic human nature. Yes, there are exceptions, so please don’t leave me notes that say “I am not one who likes to be in control” because the vast majority as as I say. They prove it on a regular basis. They like to be the one in control and that’s why it kills them when you are doing things they don’t know anything about.
I have even found that these people will hear things about you from others. They want you to know and find a way to insert their knowledge into the conversation. I have even been told “I know things about you, but I am not going to say what they are.” They even go so far as to say they are keeping it a secret to avoid drama. What? Isn’t putting it out there and NOT backing uup the comment already causing drama?
I used to get annoyed by these people, but now I take it all with a grain of salt. People like this are just jealous. They want to do the things you are now doing. They feel left out. Perhaps they are used to knowing everything you do (an ex for instance) or they used to be included (a former friend)? Whatever the case may be, these people should just be ignored. I even hesitated writing this article, but felt it was a good way to get this out of my head for good.
Do with this information what you must. Hopefully you learn to take it with a grain of salt like me.
