I measured my brain waves and task performance on caffeine- here’s what I found
This story was originally published on my website last year as part of a still-ongoing series of articles on caffeine and mental…performance. ¶ For the past six weeks I’ve been conducting an experiment on myself. I’ve been taking different levels of caffeine every day, with intent of figuring out exactly how much I should take for optimal mental and physical performance. ¶ I was a caffeine addict for most of my life (you can read about one strategy I used to overcome that here), so it’s only recently that I’ve started to view it as a performance enhancer, rather than a problem to get rid of.
