Welcome to Life Mission, a publication dedicated to the principle that “Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.” We’re thrilled to have you join our community of writers exploring the realms of psychology, mental health, relationships, and self-creation.

Our Mission

Life Mission aims to provide insightful articles and practical wisdom to help readers actively shape their lives, understand their minds, nurture meaningful relationships, and cultivate resilient mental health. We believe in the power of self-creation and personal growth through knowledge, reflection, and intentional action.

Content Categories

We organize our content into four main categories:

1. Psychology: Explore the human mind, behavior patterns, and psychological theories that illuminate the process of self-creation. Tag: Psychology

2. Mental Health: Discuss strategies for maintaining and improving mental well-being, coping with challenges, and fostering resilience. Tag: mental health

3. Relationships: Examine the dynamics of human connections, from romantic partnerships to friendships and family ties, and how they shape our identities. Tag: Relationships

4. Self: Delve into topics of self-discovery, personal development, and the journey of creating oneself. Tag: Self

Writing Guidelines

  • Share personal insights and experiences related to self-creation
  • Provide evidence-based information and practical, actionable advice
  • Back up claims with research or credible sources in psychology and mental health
  • Aim for a tone that is reflective, empowering, and grounded
  • Articles should typically be between 800–2000 words

Formatting and Style

Titles and Subtitles

  • Use title case for your main title (capitalize major words)
  • Include a subtitle that elaborates on your topic or sparks curiosity
  • Use Medium’s formatting tools to properly set your title and subtitle

Headings and Subheadings

  • Use clear, descriptive headings to structure your article
  • Employ a logical hierarchy (H1 for main title, H2 for major sections, H3 for subsections)

Paragraphs and Spacing

  • Keep paragraphs relatively short (3–5 sentences) for readability
  • Use line breaks between paragraphs for clarity

Images

  • Include a high-quality, relevant header image
  • Use horizontal (landscape) images when possible
  • Provide full image credits, including for AI-generated images
  • Use body images sparingly to maintain focus on the content

Tagging

  • Use all five available tags
  • Include the relevant category tag from our main categories
  • Choose other tags that accurately represent your content and align with themes of self-creation and personal growth

Submission Process

1. Ensure you’re added as a writer (see “How to Get Started” below)

2. Write and format your article according to these guidelines

3. Submit your draft to Life Mission through Medium’s publication submission process

4. Wait for editorial review (we aim to respond within 48–72 hours)

Editorial Process

Our editors will review your submission for the following:

  • Alignment with Life Mission’s philosophy of self-creation
  • Quality of insights and practical value
  • Proper formatting and adherence to guidelines

We may provide feedback or suggestions to enhance your piece. Please ensure your private notes are enabled so we can communicate with you if needed.

Content Standards

  • No hate speech, discrimination, or offensive content
  • Avoid overly promotional or self-serving articles
  • Disclose any conflicts of interest or relevant qualifications
  • If discussing sensitive mental health topics, consider adding a content warning
  • Do not use AI-generated content without clear disclosure

How to Get Started

To become a writer for Life Mission:

3. Wait for confirmation (usually within 72 hours)
