Asgardia at the New Worlds Conference

Deputy Head of Administration to the Head of Nation Lena De Winne will be a speaker at the annual New Worlds Conference . The event, organised by the New Worlds Institute, will take place in Austin, USA, on 9–10 November.

More than 250 participants from all over the world have been invited to attend the conference.

Participants and guests will include representatives of different industries: from astronauts to artists, and from engineers to entrepreneurs. For example, special guests of the event include Bill Gerstenmaier, NASA Associate Administrator, Human Exploration and Operations; Dr. Andrew Aldrin, Director, Aldrin Space Institute Florida Institute of Technology; Cas Anvar, Actor, The Expanse; and Alex Kamal, Pilot, Rocinante.

Deputy Head of Administration to the Head of Nation Lena De Winne will present at the conference on 9 November at 11.30 a.m. local time (18.30 CET) as part of the “S.T.A.R Talks” programme. She will present to the guests and conference participants Asgardia’s vision for humanity’s future outside of Earth and will discuss the goals of the First Space Nation regarding the creation of Moon and outer space settlements.

Founded in 2014, the New Worlds Institute aims to to identify, catalyze, develop and support those ideas, people and projects that enable and accelerate the development of prosperous and free human communities and economies beyond the Earth. Asgardian resident Rick Tumlinson, one of the founders of New Worlds Institute, will also be one of the Hosts of the New Worlds Conference. Tumlinson is also the founder of Deep Space Industries and the co-founder of the Space Frontier Foundation.
