Robotica Golem created a robotics kit in which kids can start to program in a fast and simple way, using cards to give instructions to a small robot.
Ten years ago all the members of Robotica Golem got together in a robotics school, and in 2018 Robotica Golem came true as a project with the objective of democratizing educational robotics, and with that, all the kids could have access to the robotics. They started to work on a prototype for “Feria Maker” a contest developed by Talent Land. The robot they presented was designed, manufactured, and programmed in just over a week. They won first place in the contest and got a lot of feedback from the public and the judges, which encouraged us to continue with the project.
The team is passionate about education and robots. They have done 6 iterations of the product, thoroughly investigating the ways to produce hardware that, in Mexico, is an extremely big challenge. The Golem 6.0 integrates 2 years of work not only in engineering but in the business model, graphic design, UI, and UX.
So far apart winning the Feria Maker contest, they’ve won the first place in the professional robotics product category in the national design prize and the first places in the challenge San Luis Emprende 2019.
The next step for Robotica Golem is to consolidate as a creative business that develops hardware and software for teaching technology to kids, having a presence in Mexico and Latin America.
