It’s also been criticized as a fad that encourages further narcissism in our society. But what do we really know about self-therapy? Is it just another way of telling yourself that you are the most important person in your life? Or is there something more to this practice than meets the eye?

What is Self-Therapy?

Self-therapy is a form of psychotherapy where you are both the therapist and the patient. It is an excellent way of exploring your deepest insecurities, handling past trauma, and improving your relationships with others. Self-therapy can take many different forms depending on the individual. Some people prefer writing to talking, others prefer guided visualization and still, others prefer to use a combination of all three. No matter which method you use, self-therapy is an incredibly powerful way of improving your life.

Self-therapy can be an effective way of dealing with past trauma, improving your mental health, and developing a better understanding of yourself.
