I’m running down the greenway on the Cambridge side of the Harbor.

Billowing steam pours from the rooftops of red brick apartments.

Met with runner after runner, braving the freezing temperatures.

It’s hardly sunrise. This is the City of Boston.

Let me tell you about this city.

A city both rich in history and ripe with innovation.

A place where a name like Paul Revere rings loud and clear.

Where cobblestone roads and mirrored glass skyscrapers meet.

Where people don’t wave, yet an unassuming glance and a nod speaks volumes.

Where a brotherhood of neighborhoods run together. From Jamaica Plain to Mission Hill. Dorchester to Downtown. Back Bay and Beacon Hill.

Boston Strong.

Strong is the people of this city.

Strong is the sheer will to persevere.

Strong is love.

Strong is hustle and hard work.

Strong doesn’t expect a thank you.

Strong *IS* the City of Boston.

From our country’s beginnings to America’s next steps

This place survives and thrives on the willpower of its people.

I’m running down the greenway on the Cambridge side of the Harbor.

It’s hardly sunrise.

Let me tell you about this city.

The City of Boston.
