Bonobo Live

Bonobo came to Vancouver to play an amazing set for their new album The North Borders. Three months prior, I had purchased two tickets without initially asking anybody to come with me to the show. After a few rejected offers, my newly immigrated and exceedingly enthusiastic Japanese friend, Zentaro, took me up on the offer.

It was an outstanding performance. I’m always thrilled when an artist can reproduce a once highly edited and mostly solo album with a full band. Every song they played was a new take and beautiful rendition of the original.

I highly recommend seeing them live if you ever get the chance.
