Employee Spotlight: Shantay Riley, Associate Representative — Enrollment Services with Bisk
Hey Everyone, meet Shantay Riley, Associate Representative — Enrollment Services with Bisk in Orlando. We asked her a few questions about herself and her experience as a Bisk Employee.
Question #1: What’s your favorite aspect of working at Bisk?
Being able to impact students. Encouraging them to have no fear, reach for higher boundaries, and invest in themselves. Reminding them that fear is simply False Evidence Appearing Real! I also get to apply those same concepts to myself.
In many scenarios, I am a reflection of the students that I serve.
Question #2: What characteristic do you most admire in others?
Honesty and integrity. I don’t care about outward appearances and material gains. That which is in the hearts and minds of people are the traits that I admire.
Question #3: What’s your professional passion?
My professional passion is to do my very best. My position as an enrollment representative has highs and lows. When I’m low I remember the purpose of it all. Why am I here? What are the end results? What areas do I need to take accountability and not make excuses? What areas need improvement? And when I’m high, I remember all the lows and never take it for granted.
To sum it up, I desire to empower myself to reach my full potential.
Question #4: What does true leadership mean to you?
A leader is one who aspires to inspire. They are not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get down and dirty in the trenches with others. They motivate, are humble, and make sacrifices for the good of others. They lead not to be seen or recognized but to make sure that desired results are achieved that benefit all.
Question #5: (just for fun): What is the first thing you would buy if you won the lottery?
My dream home.
