Diaz, An Enthusiastic Young Programmer
Enthusiastic, a single word to describe Diaz Djuliansyah as a person and as a friend. Unlike other 18-year-old teenagers who prefer to have fun and continue their studies, Diaz is now fully employed at The Big Rich Group as a Junior Software Engineer and is known as one of the most talented Programmers we have right now. Here is his story.
Diaz was not meant to be a programmer in the first place. He wanted to be a part of the Indonesian Commando Forces. However, due to his shortcomings, he decided to enter a vocational high school on Computer Networking. He thought it was cool because he had never touched a computer before and having him joined the computer networking stream, his world to the computer was open. The first time he studied computer coding, the teacher never came and only gave them an assignment. Diaz kept persisted and wants to learn more about Coding. It’s all because of his mentor, he started to learn to code and continued studying until he graduated from the vocational high school.
Diaz came from a humble family in Indonesia, so he knew that continuing his studies to learn about coding was impossible. Instead, he applied for jobs to help his parents. He wants to save his money and someday continue his study on computer science, which is why he chose to be a programmer by learning with his mentor, from Google and YouTube. Later, Diaz applied to The Big Rich Group.
The funny thing is, I asked Diaz about applying to The Big Rich Group as Junior Programmer. said something like this:
“ Why? Just Do It? What is the worst could happen?“
He spoke it with a big smile and confidence in his voice. He applied for the job at The Big Rich Group despite his limited coding skills and lack of experience. Despite this, he was accepted as our probationary programmer. The life of a programmer is exactly what he expected, sitting in front of a computer and tweaking codes every day. The thing he really likes about his new job is that people at The Big Rich Group help each other out, unlike in his previous job where it was expected that he would solve everything.
At The Big Rich Group, Diaz is now working under his team lead, Rifai. He thinks that Rifai has an eccentric personality and is a really reliable leader but sometimes he gets lost in his thoughts and asks for help. However, overall, he is a really good person and a helpful person with a good personality.
When this article was published, Diaz had already finished his probation and now working as a Junior Software Engineer. His message to other 18-year-old teenagers is that they shouldn’t waste their time, and should start hustling. Just have confidence and stay focused.
I shared this story to pay homage to Diaz, who is such an amazing individual. Although he has limited experience coding and limited knowledge of it, he rose from 0 to one of the most promising programmers in The Big Rich Group.
