Ilham, New Quality Assurance with Major Interest in Business
There is nothing short talking about new recruits at The Big Rich Group. Our recruit, Ilham Maulana Gufran or known by his peers as Kibo because he has that curly styled haired. (Curly hair in Bahasa Indonesia translated to Kribo, hence Kibo). He is working as Quality Assurance now, but with his major interest in Business, he is aiming for something big in the future.
When he was little, he had an interest in computers. From tinkering with computers, to fully building a computer unit in middle school, his father saw this huge interest and planned for him to continue his study in IT. Ilham entered vocational high school, majoring in computer infrastructure, and then entered college, majoring in computer sciences.
Ilham felt that, working at IT in the future is not for him. After spending 3 years at college, he realized that what he really wants is to become a successful businessman, like his dad. But dropping out halfway through college is out of the question, so he persisted to finish his degree in computer science. After finishing his thesis, he started looking for jobs. He applied to everything he saw, but one job he was interested in was our job application as Quality Assurance.
There are several reasons that caught his eye, one of them is the opportunity to gain experience on other skills that he is interested in and a clear career path. Plus, the friendly working culture and the most important part is the Indonesian office is close to his home, which is what makes him click with us. Despite several offers coming in, he chooses us as his first job.
At The Big Rich Group, Ilham is known as a bright person with many friends from all departments. He can easily blend in with other employees and do his job well. He sees The Big Rich Group as a big opportunity because there is a lot going on here and with a small team, he can learn more from everyone. He also knows that a clear career path for him is to be a successful businessman. Businessmen come in many forms, but he aims to be the CEO of one of The Big Rich Group’s child companies. Working at the parent company brings many opportunities for him to be the CEO of one of the child companies and to surpass his role model, his dad.
Right now, He is looking to develop himself before getting his head into business. He is currently studying towards a master’s degree in Business. He said, “without a proper knowledge, doing business will certainly fail, that is why I am taking a master’s degree in business. I am paying for it myself.” He works hard, in order to surpass his role model in life, and with the big opportunities at The Big Rich Group, he has a long way to go before becoming a successful businessman.
