lifeID Names CTO to Implement Blockchain-based Identity
SEATTLE, Wa; February 1, 2018…lifeID, which recently emerged from stealth mode in an effort to give users control over their identities, today named Rui Maximo as its Chief Technology Officer.

For the past year plus, lifeID has been working relentlessly to bring identity into the modern era. The company aims to change the paradigm for identity solutions with their lifeID phone app built on lifeID’s open, permissionless blockchain-based identity platform being launching in the second half 2018.

The new experience of accessing your entire world with just a phone and the lifeID app, is a huge benefit to users. It removes the need for usernames and passwords through single sign-on functionality, in addition to the replacement of cards and key fobs used to access physical things. Moreover, lifeID can be used to replace real world identifiers, such as driver licenses, gym memberships or even diplomas issued by a university.
Rui Maximo previously held the position of CTO at StormX, a blockchain company delivering gamification for micro-tasks.
