We are delighted to announce we have joined as the latest member organization of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), a standards body for the open web. Our Chief Blockchain Evangelist for the lifeID platform, Alex Ortiz, will serve as our W3C Advisory Committee Representative.

Through participation in W3C and its Verifiable Claims Working Group, we’ll learn from our industry peers and contribute our own ideas about decentralized self-sovereign identity with a global community of professionals from 472 member organizations. W3C has contributed important foundational work to the blockchain identity industry, including specifications and technical reports for Decentralized Identifiers (DIDs), verifiable claims and credentials, and verifiable claims/credentials use cases. We look forward to learning from this body of work and informing the direction of open, interoperable, and decentralized identity systems, including the lifeID platform, in the years to come.
