New Medium Writers Are Making The Biggest Mistake — Do This Instead

Medium was first created over a decade ago on August 15, 2012. A lot of writers have come and gone since then. Many basic rules are still there but new writers miss one thing.

I’m going to share the one thing I see new writers miss.

Other experienced Medium writers probably notice it as well.

Each day, I read a few articles to see what writers are sharing. New writers are making one glaring mistake as soon as you open the page.

Medium articles need a headline of course. The headline is what attracts readers to your page.

Following that is the image. Images are used from stock photos online and sometimes your personal photos.

Those are two of the three most important things in a Medium article.

The third one is what new writers miss.

It’s the subtitle.

According to Medium, the article can add a title and subtitle. The subtitle goes directly below the title.
