A Lonely Star
Amid heaven’s twilight, it softly shines-embraced among the gentle sky.
Its neighbor’s glow it cannot find, its twinkle too-to all, is blind.
Like a sheep astray from its flock, the glimmer too, amiss in the distant blue.
Victim of darkness and smiles lost. Entombed in a vault-tears of a shepherd, for the one wandered aloft.
Once dazzling the night’s serenity, courage kept your sparkle bright.
Your shimmer of shining armor caressed amidst a divine constellation stood in proud delight.
O ray of light that pierced the pearly gates-now, forever on your own-a golden crown shrouded in a blackened abyss.
A Lonely Star-alas adrift in the sea of brilliance.
