A nightingale’s song

Of Betrayal

Some promises are meant to be broken

but this I shalt keep

I leave thee alone; sweet dreams my love; my birdwatcher

a lonely, unloved bird, breaks free and flies off from her beloved cage

somewhere far; she builds a cozy nest out of forsaken straws; glued by hope of a better morrow

with a dandem of tears; a heart that chirps the birdwatcher tunes; she glides the skies in an effort to forget; for the little birdie was in love with her captor

irked by the tunes; a melancholic hunter; pulls the trigger — bang

thou shot the birdie when it was about to fly off sensing danger; O ye cruel hunter

what a wild catch; thou sing in joy; thine cold blooded human

O birdie; you chirped for one; you were shot by one; caged thy reality

the nightingale lost her song; thou stole her melodies

thou shot dead a birdie who left her love nest of her beloved birdwatcher

to fly off in the wilderness, to explore the dandelion sky, the boundless horizon awaiting her

O ye cruel soul; thine ears can’t fathom the nightingale’s powerful and beautiful song, for her notes shalt be sung by the hustling wind, the chiming water; the river flow

O such tragedy befell upon this day ; the sky cried for hours; pouring heavy burdens unto earth, still no solace found; the clouds turned black with misty shadows; the sky rumbled and thundered in anger; the earth grew puddled — to caress the little birdie in it’s embrace

the hunter traced back his steps and left the birdie alone; the ground is the little birdie’s keeper; no soul shall touch her

the birdie lies in peace; the birdwatcher no longer in her memories; she’s finally free

the birdwatcher lives; captivating other poor little birdies; little did the brown bird know — she wasn’t the first, she is not the last

O you cold blooded, blue eyed monster; you killed a beauty who loved your kind dearly

a nightingale’s voice was snatched but her song lives; the song of betrayal
