A Shattered Dream: Reflections of Tomorrow
Clouds churn in torment
Breezes whisper a scent of withered lilies
Daylight darkens in ghostly shadows
As my memories fade into the nightly dungeon.
Candles dripping teardrops
Organ pipes echo cries
Icons weep farewell
And my heart summons its trial of woe.
Once the goddess of her chapel
strayed are the laughs of this dwelling.
The campanile silenced,
Touched by gloom,
The cherry tree blossoms shrivel.
My mind is muffled.
The haunting cold seizes my body.
And so, it be
Her final veneer
Couched upon the earth,
Paused in stillness
A last respect,
A sea of blessings so deserved.
Resting in His bosom,
I walk away, my thoughts in a tunnel of darkness.
Celestial voices sing in harmonic praise
Heaven opens its pearly gates
Angels await her arrival in wonder
My soul knows the bitter grief it shall live.
Words to be written
Today, tell a dream
The sword pierces the wound
But detains the hurt
That is yet to be.
