This poem has been written as part of Sahil Patel’s Lifeline’s poetry prompts. Thank you, Sahil for the invite.

Today’s prompt is: What are the qualities you value as a friend?

A friendship with another human being can be amazing
Blessed with similar traits you value as your own
Considerate of your feelings is desirable
Dauntless and daring to a fault
Encouraging a nice surprise
Funny goes a long way
Good natured
Happy
Integrity also
Joyous and engaging
Kind heartedness a must
Lovingly honest and gentle too
Masculine and feminine equal balance
Naturally authentic while being hilariously clever
Optimistically confident especially when you feel lost
Personality as outgoing and adventurous as I am
Quirky otherworldliness a trait to admire
Realistic but reassuring is a plus
Supportively protective
Trustworthy
Unique
Versatility
Wonderfully patient
Xany with energetic strength
Yes I’m describing the ultimate friend
Zealously expecting the same traits and qualities
