Anticipation

One of the hardes part of love is the time apart!

Filled with excitement,

Touched by dread,

Fear of the unknown,

Things not yet spoken.

Stepped it up with fluff and frills,

Painted, dusted, and sprayed,

Will it be enough to ignite in your,

A desire for more of me?

My heart skipped a beat,

My excitement grew with ever step.

Then the acknowledgement came when,

I saw your smile brighter than the sun.

Time flew as the anticipation left,

Replaced by hope for more.

Prayers of thankfulness and wish fullness,

Anticipation returned even stronger.
