Anticipointment
A gift or a brick.
It was anticipointment
Yearned for
Then let down
It looked like El Dorado
But ended without renown.
Shares that would make a motza,
A Gold Mine
Profit guaranteed
But the place never existed
A plant without a seed.
Hard-earned savings
Down the gurgler
The entrepreneurs left town
And lined his silky pockets with
All the profits are blown.
Anticipointment also
Can happen
When too many eggs
Are in one basket
And someone you know
Has flown away
With the golden casket.
The excitement around the corner
Unsure where it may lead
Take care of what you sow
And where it then
May lead.
*Anticipointment has a sting
Can hurt you to the quick
Be careful
What they bring
A gift
Or a brick.
