patience sometimes can be hard to come by
it grows with love

caring for someone that’s ill
helping them take their pills

what if they can’t walk?
you are there to lift and carry, not
squawk

what if they can’t get out of bed?
you’re there instead
to tend to their needs and put a pillow
under their head

maybe your patience helps a child
or an adult
remember it’s not their fault

love is the seed that makes patience
grow
standing steady, breathing, you know

love is hard as patience is hard to hold
but life is better with them than being cold

patience is for the strong of heart
love and patience should never part

caring for someone lights up their life
they are not alone battling the strife

there’s much to learn and much to give
strengthen your heart with patience
so you may live.

Thanks for reading. Love you all.
