Poetry — March’s Fourth Week Prompt of Lifeline -
remembering the forgotten dreams

Photo by Jaime Handley on Unsplash

dreams line the clouds
and shine at night with the stars
the stardust of our nights
the sunshine in the clouds

the only forgotten dream may
have been being a singer
a dim recalling or memory
the imagination of being a star or on stage
movies were always cherished and
brought happiness
but it was forgotten for a reason
life was headed in a different
direction
choices were few

and that’s okay
there was always a house full
of people, trials and tribulations
abounded along with love
growing and learning how important
it was to be kind and caring
a mother that nurtured her large brood
making what we had enough

dreams still line the clouds and
shine at night
they are filled with hope and
heartfelt wishes to bring
the dreams that are left to
fruition
