Eyes that see at night.

Image thanks to Julie Beasley.

20/20 vision
Eyes that see at night
I should have seen it coming
Much better in hindsight.

Unexpected angling
Fish plucked from the deep
Now isn’t that peculiar
But oh, so very neat.

Cars and jars of calamine
Houses built of stone
Some of them so tiny
Wouldn’t fit a gnome.

Drop off to the op shop
Try on a bikini
Spend up big don’t renege
Now don’t be a meanie.

In the water now we ought to
Try on those snowshoes
Sharks that bark out orders
And bite your little toes.

Lions crouch in waiting
The seas eclipsed by the sun
Underneath the giant iceberg
Fish are on the run.

Let’s do it for fun today
The wits and bits and pieces
Sleeping in is the thing
Counting golden fleeces.
