The light shone
On the floor
Through a cracked door
Slowly closing
I reach to catch it
Grab a glimpse inside
Within the dark house
This room does not belong
Filled with light and smiling faces
A safe space
Comforting
With warm sunshine on my skin
A place to decompress and turn optimistic
