Greetings poets,

I hope you all are doing great. Apologies for being late with this week’s prompt as I was caught up in a lot lately.

I am back with great excitement and joy.

This week’s theme is “Fatherhood”.

We have recently celebrated Father’s day on 19 June. Father is one of the important people in every child’s life. The role of the father in any family is crucial. Family becomes strong when there is one responsible and supportive father who is there to take care of all the things.

“Anyone can be a father, but it takes someone special to be a dad, and that’s why I call you dad, because you are so special to me. You taught me the game and you taught me how to play it right.” -Wade Boggs

A person who teaches you some great things about life. Father is a person who is always there to help and support you. Dads are superheroes and they have superpowers.

They may not be able to fly, be invisible or read your mind, but they have abilities to cheer you up when you are going through the hard times, he is the person to rely on when you need someone.

Dad’s mission is to provide safety, care, and happiness to their families. He will never be too busy or too tired to not fulfill his responsibilities.

No matter how much burden they have on themselves, but when they come in front of their family they always have a smiling face which is one of the super-strength that only fathers have.

Sometimes they can turn into dancers or storytellers just to make their children happy.

Fathers are possessive, caring, and great listeners. He is a great guide, mentor, and teacher. No one can take a place of the father in any child’s life.

So, today remember your father and give them a tribute in the form of a poem.

So, the prompt is,

Go down in the memory lane and remember the best memory you had with your father. Write a poem dedicated to your father.

I want to invite all the poets of Lifeline.
