The society has created many inequalities since ages. Society treat people based on their gender, caste and religion which is not fair. Everyone is a human being and we have to treat everyone equally.

Society has a way to shape our perspective which end up creating stereotypes. From a very young age, people started putting those stereotypes in our minds.

In the long term, these stereotypes creates inequalities which creates barriers to education, employment and healthcare as individuals judged based on preconceptions rather than their merits and capabilities. The major Inequality I have observed in the society is the gap between poor and rich people. Rich people automatically get more respect and they have better access to resources, employment, and even basic necessities such as education, housing and healthcare.

The second major inequality that has been rooted in our society since a long time is gender inequality. Women often face discrimination and barriers to equality in areas such as employment and leadership roles. They also face inequalities in the wages at workplace.

In addition to that, there are many others inequality such as racial inequality, healthcare inequality and social inequality. We need to make a good progress to overcome all these inequalities therefore we all have to put equal and constant efforts to change our society’s perceptions.

"True individual freedom cannot exist without economic security and independence. People who are hungry and out of a job are the stuff of which dictatorships are made." - Franklin D. Roosevelt

This week’s prompt is

"Explore the concept of inequality through poetry, using simple yet poignant language to convey the disparities and injustices present in society. Consider how inequality manifests in various forms such as race, gender, wealth, or opportunity.”

Giulietta Passarelli and Colleen Millsteed shared profound poem on adversity.

I want to invite all the poets from Lifeline. I hope you will like this prompt.
