Moments of Beauty

A Poem

I can’t help but notice this world so torn and broken
filled with shadows and questions
pockets of joy
corners of unhappiness
and apathy
brick walls of unfairness
and inequality

I can’t help but notice the weeds
and wildflowers
the upturned corners of your smile
the twinkle in your eye
the paper and the raised pen
the hushed voice that will not be silenced
the scribbles and moments filled with great hope and beauty.
