My Spirit Speaks in Darkness

Image created by Author

From beginning to end, I wander forlorn
And born within darkness, my spirit is torn

Upon my face are tears, I can feel them stream
I beg for release, turn nightmare to dream

How often I’ve begged for, gained, and lost your hand
My heart and my love slip through fingers like sand
