She Writes…
To make sure everyone listens
She writes,
So that everyone will listen,
She writes,
So that she could be heard,
By someone far from her motherland,
She writes,
So that she will find a refuge,
When she will be granted asylum,
In a country, she wishes to be free.
Who is she?
She is a mother for a girl,
She is a daughter for a mother,
She is a sister for a sister,
Yet, she couldn't be an independent woman,
In her own motherland.
She knows she wants to escape,
From the fences of dictatorship,
So, she writes,
As she can speak up,
Through her words of silence,
Yet, every word is vibrant,
Realize every each soul in the world,
That everyone has the right to be free.
