The Faithful Conversation with God
Based on the Faith prompt in Lifeline
When I was in despair,
I would be angry with God,
I would ask,
Why did you do this to me?
When I was anxious,
I would cry to God,
I would ask for help,
Please save me from this turmoil.
When I was happy,
I would smile to God,
I would ask,
Why are you so lovable with me?
When I am at peace,
Like now, at this moment,
I would ask God,
Please stay with me.
None of this conversation,
I could see God,
I could only sense,
Not with these five senses,
But with the different senses,
From the different domains,
From the different paradigms,
Which are indescribable,
But no matter what,
I won’t ever think,
There is no God at all.
This is my faith,
God is everywhere,
In every form,
I don’t have to go to certain places,
Or pray at a certain time,
To communicate with the Lord.
In every question, I asked,
No matter in anger, despair, anxiety, or happiness,
My faith towards God is always there,
Because God is watching,
Every soul and matter.
The omnipresent for sure,
Will only serve us with love,
In our every smile and tear,
There is God,
When the faith is present in us.
My heartfelt gratitude to Sahil Patel for the wonderful prompt on faith.
