Viewpoints
Brands of identity.
Some have views about the news
Or views to compensate
For governmental departures|
When they legislate.
Viewpoints are distractions
Brands of identity
A human being or jumping bean
Let’s hide the travesty.
Behind the curtains of ideas
There’s love hurt and emotion
Fragility and frailty
Endearment and devotion.
Then there’s time to do a mime
And state my point of view
Underlining importance
Discussing something new.
Viewpoints can be variable
Some have the blinkers on
Narrow minds and large behinds
More words in the bird’s song.
Up the mast or past the last
Post the horses ran
How long is the racecourse?
What length is my lifespan?
Viewpoints mutter day and night
From mouths TV and radio
Stop listening to the airwaves
Turn on the stereo.
I always know it’s time to go
When viewpoints exceed good sense
Wait for the icing on the cake
That adds to the nonsense.
