Winter Wonder

Snow falls, draping trees in a blanket of white wonder
It is time to fetch some dry lumber
Cozy up by the fire, hot cocoa delight
It makes a beautiful start to the cozy night

The silence of the snow
And the lights all aglow
Makes me feel so secure
The footsteps of no one other than that of the deer are there to ensure

Peace of mind
I can surely find
In the cheerful holiday music, and traditional movies, and the view
Especially seeing the lights at the Zoo

So much to do
Going sledding feels as if growing up is not so bad or true true
Catching flakes on my tongue
Makes me feel so young

Snow Angels and snowball fights
Snow cream delight

It is a short season, so I must embrace
The magic of winter’s grace
Let the wind caress my face
And remind me of this sacred space
