I could spend an entire day admiring black-and-white photography. This form of art can evoke emotions such as mysticism, nostalgia, and melancholy, perhaps even subtle vigilance.

What is art if it doesn’t give rise to some form of sensory experience?

I created this collection to commemorate mood. I hope to provoke a journey of mood, or a form of emotional state for the reader, as these images have done for me.

I hope to hear if any of the following images affected you. Please feel free to share in the comments, or even a private note if you prefer.

I enjoy the following image by Daniel Tseng, it’s a moody room and reminds me of my childhood when we lived in a 100-year-old home. There were always little crooks and crannies to hide in for hide-and-seek.

Dark room with 2 white, rustic wooden doors and old french pane windows. Outside of the windows are a few palm leaves and plants.

The lonely bike in the photo below by ORNELLA BINNI is taking a break in a torrential downpour and flooded streets. The cyclist is perhaps taking cover in the torrential downpour, as you will…
