Fresh is always best, and it doesn’t get fresher than a farmers market. Whether you need kimchi, yogurt, or beef jerky, you’ll find it at the Mueller Farmers market.

This north Austin farmers market first opened in 2012, but they didn’t have their permanent location in the Branch Park Pavilion until 2021. The farmers market currently has more than 120 vendors every Sunday fighting for a good spot to sell their fresh goods. The weekly market often brings in hundreds of people that line all the nearest streets with bumper-to-bumper cars.

Now how does a farmer’s market get this much popularity?

It starts with the options, the tons and tons of options. The Mueller Farmers market shows the expansion of the category of farmers markets and proves they aren’t just for produce and baked goods anymore. This market sells everything from medicinal mushrooms, to freshly made Pão de queijo, a Brazilian cheese bread, to beeswax candles. Customers can buy their medicinal mushroom drops to ease anxiety, then walk three feet to the right to ponder what kind of dog treats to get their pooch.

The market’s consistency is also a major factor when it comes to their popularity. The Mueller Farmers Market website says it is open, rain or shine, all year round. These predictable times assure people that no matter what, the market will be open for shopping and ready to provide whatever one might need every Sunday.
