BREAKING NEWS coming out on the status of Greg Sanchez now, who has, as of moments ago, signed a landmark 5-year extension with National organisation, Clark Rubber. The singing comes on the backend of an incredible 2023 for Sanchez who boasted serious numbers, namely in finishing percentages. This is a solid keep for Clark Rubber team who have been struggling since losing some star recruits to University and farm-work committed employees the year prior.

Sanchez has been a key player for a number of years. People call him ‘a role guy’. For the last few seasons he’s been performing well with Clark Rubber, starting humbly in the back reserves as a fill in, and making his way to the front of the lineup faster than you can say, “two bits of rubber for one!”

At the back end of 2023 it seemed Sanchez had run his course with Clark Rubber, who were seeing massive fan decline due to mismanagement. Sanchez however never wavered as a force, particularly at the back end of the season — the season being the year 2023.

There was no doubt some parties were disappointed at the news. Many were convinced the star would transfer across to rival party, Doors Plus. Doors Plus are rumoured to have offered an enticing contract, but it appears loyalty lies at the core of Sanchez’s decision this afternoon.

Doors Plus boasted a tremendous year, and with the pursuit of Sanchez, there was clear intent to cement a 2024 victory before the year had even begun. The stats speak for themselves, and Doors Plus were undoubtedly the superior company. Sanchez’s refusal of a Doors Plus contract speaks volumes. He’s clearly chosen to continue to shine in an under performing organisation rather than become a small fish in a big pond within the Doors organisation.

Sanchez will keep his talents at Clark Rubber, solidifying his franchise status, and bolstering a pay check that would shock no one — particularly given the cap space Rubber has, and the numbers Sanchez has been putting up. The stats speak for themselves, and the dollar sign listens.

The ESPN presser has left people both shocked and unsurprised that Sanchez was signing a 5-year extension with Rubber on deferred payment. The signing speaks volumes that yes, Clark Rubber is indeed planning to establish a foundation player in Sanchez to build the team around. Sanchez’s seniority will be invaluable, his expertise in closing a sale will establish serious building blocks for the new recruits for the ’24 season.

More information to come on this titillating story.
