Brightening your day one article at a time

When the subject came up to introduce the new publication, there were several votes to hire it out to a trained professional. Unfortunately, none were available within our budget, and so the task fell to one of us. I apparently didn’t step back fast enough and got left holding the short straw. I’m not much on holding the spotlight, so my words will be brief.

The idea of launching a new publication came up in our writers’ group. Everyone thought it was an ambitious undertaking. A group of random strangers united by our love for writing, scattered around the planet, and all stuck at home.

What the heck. It was 2020, how much worse could it get?

We discussed many areas of focus for the publication, but in the end, the common thread was making a positive impact. What better symbol than a Lighthouse? The structure that has for centuries stood for safety and direction. With its beacon shining across the waters, leading you to safe harbors.

I’m delighted to be working with such a wonderful mix of people. I hope the amount of support and encouragement we give each other shows in our work here.
