How to Understand Predatory Trolls

I recently wrote an article on the Consequences of Cyberbullying, and how I was able to relate this back to bullying that I received as a child. This bullying came about when I shared something about a so-called friend that I should not have. It wasn’t done to spite her, but it was received that way, and no matter how much I apologised, she would not accept it. She turned others against me and with their combined efforts, set out to intentionally hurt me and break me down.

What I have learned from that experience is that this is the intention of predatory trolls; they want nothing more than to destroy the character of those they attack. This has resulted in businesses being shut down, and worst of all, people taking their own lives because they are unable to deal with the hatred that these demons spread.

Myself and those in Lighthouse Global, have had our fair share of predatory trolls, we have been attacked online over the past 21 months. Predatory trolls are known to work in groups, and those who have been attacking us have been made up of ex-associates partners and worst of all, family members of associates still here in Lighthouse. Between them, they have been posting false and libelous accusations about us to try and destroy our characters. Most of all, the character of our Head Mentor and friend, Paul S. Waugh.

Jordan Peterson has also known first-hand what is like to be attacked online, he has been the target of predatory trolls. He shares in an interview that the larger online platforms allow people to register under anonymous names, allowing these demon trolls to spread their malicious toxicity without anyone knowing their real identity. They will say things online that if they said in public, it would probably get them punched, or worse. The names they call themselves may seem to have some psychological significance to them, but may seem almost demonic to anyone else. In his interview, Dr Peterson gives his understanding of what a predatory troll is.

What do you do if you find yourself being trolled? How do you respond? These were questions that we asked when the trolling started. With Paul’s leadership and guidance, we have been able to take control of the situation.

Because of what we have been through over the past 21 months, we understand what it is like to be trolled and are able to share our experience with others. We are building a community for people, a groundswell, those who have been or are currently the target of predatory trolls or online cyberbullies, a safe environment where they will be able to share openly and seek advice as to how to handle their situation.

If you would like to learn more about how to get involved, or if there is anything in this report or in the video that you would like to discuss, please feel free to contact us and one of our team will be more than happy to help.
