Announcing Bolt Cryptocurrency. Bolt is the new Bitcoin and cryptocurrency for the world, built on top of Lightning Network, world’s fastest blockchain platform.
Natively implementing Bitcoin Lightning Network Protocol and Ethereum Plasma Framework, Lightning Network is capable of supporting millions of transactions per second and set to overtake Visa/Mastercard.
Architecture
Lightning Root Blockchain supports Ethereum Smart Contract, which holds Bolt tokens for its Plasma chains. Plasma chains support unlimited sharding, and users can have accounts on either Root chain or Plasma chains.
Transferring Bolt tokens between accounts on Root chain or same Plasma chain is business as usual, which involves validators validating the transactions and generating new blocks. Plasma validators are also full validators on Root chain which store hashes of Plasma blockchain headers on Root chain.
Transferring Bolt tokens from accounts on Root chain to Plasma chain involves generating a single new Plasma block with the single transaction. Transferring Bolt tokens from accounts on Plasma chain to Root chain or other Plasma chains involves executing Smart Contracts on Root chain and generating new Root Block and Plasma blocks with the transaction.
Scalability
Bitcoin Lightning Network Protocol is implemented on top of Plasma chains and allow instant off-chain peer-to-peer transfer of Bolt tokens. Combined with Plasma Framework, this allows virtually unlimited amount of transactions to be supported by the network in very short time frame.
