How to claim your PHT Tokens

The following guide illustrates the process of claiming your PHT tokens step by step.

Note: Please use the Chrome Browser with the latest MetaMask extension installed and follow these instructions.

Step 1: Log in to your MetaMask Wallet and click on “Expand View” to open in a new tab. In the event you have forgotten your password, you can restore your MetaMask Wallet using the secret backup phrase you should have saved during the account creation.

Click on the MetaMask icon, type your password and click “Log In”

Click on “…” and then “Expand View” to open the dialog on a new tab

Step 2: Click on “Network” to display all available networks and select “Custom RPC” from the available options.

Step 3: In the section “New Network” click on “Show Advanced Options” and fill in the following information:

RPC Url: https://node.mainnet.lightstreams.io:443
ChainId: 0xA3
Symbol: ETH
Nickname: Lightstreams
Block Explorer URL: https://explorer.lightstreams.io/

Note 1: A revision to these instructions, ETH is specified as the symbol instead of PHT in order to mitigate a Metamask blank screen bug.

Note 2: A revision to these instructions, new versions of Metamask now require the ChainId to be in Hexidecimal formal. So the ChainId of 163 shown in the diagram below will not be accepted by MetaMask.

Click on “Show Advanced Options”

Fill in the information as per image and click “Save”

Note: You may need to disable and re-activate your MetaMask extension if your send button is blank or you get a white screen after changing or saving the Network. (backup your password and keys). In Chrome: More tools > Extensions. Turn MetaMask extension off (by moving the slider into the off position). Turn MetaMask extension on (by moving the slider into the on position). Sign into MetaMask.

Step 4: Click “Save”. Lightstreams Network is now properly set up in your MetaMask Wallet. Make sure to always have selected the Lightstreams Network before pursuing the next step.

Step 5: Go to Lightstreams Network Explorer: https://explorer.mainnet.lightstreams.io/distribution and click connect on the MetaMask Notification that will pop up.

You are now redirected to the overview of the PHT Tokens allocated to the Receiving Account you provided to our team.

You are now connected to the Lightstreams Network and can claim your PHT Tokens.

Note: Your Receiving Account will be pre-loaded with 1.00 PHT, so that you can pay the initial gas fee to claim your Tokens.

Step 6: To claim you PHT Tokens, click on “Withdraw # PHT”

Click on “Withdraw 1.00 PHT” to claim your allocated PHT Tokens

Step 7: On the MetaMask Notification pop up window, click on “Confirm” to claim your PHT Tokens.

Click on “Confirm”

You have now successfully claimed your PHT Tokens and they are available on your MetaMask Account.

Your PHT Tokens are now added to your MetaMask Account

The Lightstreams PHT is a native token. It is NOT an ERC-20 token or similar. The Lightstreams network uses the same addressing format as Ethereum network.

For your information, MetaMask is chosen because:

1. We can add Lightstreams as an additional network.
2. You will need to be in control of the private key to sign transactions with a new Lightstreams network configuration.
