How to create your PHT wallet

For receiving your tokens during the Lightstreams Token Sale

The material and information contained on this document is for technical information purposes only. It is provided “as-is” on a best-effort basis.

The wallet address that you generate will be used as receiving address for your purchased PHT Tokens. We strongly recommend that you generate a MetaMask address for specifying your PHT wallet address for receiving your tokens.

DO NOT give us a hardware wallet address or crypto exchange address. You may be unable to access your purchased tokens after we have sent them to of these addresses. We cannot accept responsibility for locked tokens as a result of not following these instructions.

Generating a MetaMask address

You will find the official instructions for generating a PHT wallet during the Altcoinomy Onboarding process.

Alternatively you can follow the step by step guide provided below:

Step 1: Install MetaMask extension in your browser (https://metamask.io/). Supported browsers are Crome, Firefox, Opera and Brave. We recommend you to use Google Chrome.

Click on “Get Chrome Extension” to get started

Click on “Add to Chrome” to install the extension

Select “Add extension”

MetaMask is now installed on your browser

Step 2: Click on the button “Get Started”.

Click on “Get Started” to create your private wallet

Step 3: Click on the button “Create a Wallet” and decide whether you want MetaMask to gather your user data.

Click on “Create Wallet” to get started

Click on “I Agree” to usage data

Step 4: Create a password and accept the terms of use.

Add your password, accept terms of use and click “create”

Step 5: Save your secret backup phrase and keep it somewhere safe. These 12 words are the only way to restore your MetaMask account. You will also need them to complete your wallet creation at the next step.

Save your secret backup phrase and click “Next”

Confirm you secret backup phrase and click “Confirm”

Your wallet is now created, click on “All Done” to view the account details

Step 6: Your public wallet address is located in your “Account Details” area and can be easily copied by clicking on it.

Step 8: We recommend to change the default name of the “Account 1” so you can remember it is your Lightstreams Photons Wallet.

The Lightstreams PHT is a native token. It is NOT an ERC-20 token or similar. The Lightstreams network uses the same addressing format as Ethereum network. For this reason, we generate an ETH address using MetaMask. This ETH address will be the receiving PHT address for your purchased tokens.

For your information, MetaMask is chosen because:

1. We can add Lightstreams as an additional network.
2. You will need to be in control of the private key to sign transactions with a new Lightstreams network configuration.
