Voss Boss Entrepreneur Spotlight — Rosalie Lanteigne, Owner Of Stickers By Rosalie

--

For many entrepreneurs and small businesses, social media can be an absolute game-changer! All it takes is one viral post and a business can suddenly take off.

At Like A Voss Inc, we’re highlighting local businesses and entrepreneurs who are killing the online game. This week’s spotlight is on Rosalie Lanteigne, Owner Of Stickers By Rosalie!

Stickers by Rosalie creates positive and colorful stickers one sticker at a time.

Our girl Betina interviewed Rosalie about her secret to success in business and in life. We also got some awesome insights into what they think makes social media such an effective tool in business.

A Little Bit About Being an Entrepreneur

1: How long have you been in business?

Almost over a year and a half! I’ve started Stickers by Rosalie at the beginning of March 2020.

2: What made you decide to break away from the 9–5 and start Stickers by Rosalie?

It’s definitely in my ambitions to go full time with this business. For the moment, it’s an opportunity to channel my artistic visions and develop my skills.

3: What do you love most about being an entrepreneur?

Every day is different! I get to work on sooo many different tasks and my brain loves it!

4: What is the hardest thing you have had to overcome as an entrepreneur? Something you did not foresee when you decided to start Stickers by Rosalie?

Definitely the amount of “noise” that there already is on social media. It made me realize how important it was to create purposeful content.

5: What is one thing about working in the art industry that people would be surprised to learn?

That there is so much value and thought behind making art, and that it needs to get paid without having it be questioned. I always love comparing this issue to other professions, you don’t question the invoice from your dentist, so why do it with artists! 🙂

6: Where do you find inspiration for your illustrations?

Since the beginning, I’ve tried to create illustrations that are positive and colorful. I get my inspiration mostly from my passions like nature, feminism, yoga and mindfulness. I also get inspired by people and locations and try to imagine their stories.

And Now Onto The Social Media Questions!

7: Do you have a favorite social media platform? Why?

YouTube, for the close relationship that you can have with your audience.

8: What made you decide to start using social media as a way to promote your company?

How easy it is to test out ideas with your audience and build a community!

9: How has social media impacted your business? Would you say that it’s an effective marketing tool?

I’ve been able to build such a beautiful community of artists and people through social media. It’s a great marketing tool for people that are starting out and for those who are veterans, since it allows us to build a very close relationship with inspirational people.

10: What advice would you give to other businesses and entrepreneurs who want to use social media as a way to connect with customers?

Don’t stress it, be authentic, and know that building an audience takes time, but most important, have fun!!
