Likvidi Goes Carbon Neutral

Today, we are proud to announce that Likvidi has taken a significant step towards a more sustainable future by becoming carbon neutral. We have offset our entire historical carbon footprint, including emissions from all employees, past employees, subsidiaries, and company activities.

Climate experts worldwide agree that urgent action is needed to reduce emissions and ultimately achieve “net-zero” status, where humanity removes as much carbon as it emits annually. This ambitious goal requires aggressive approaches, cutting-edge technology, and innovative public policies. While it may seem audacious, reaching net-zero emissions is crucial for the well-being of every person alive today and future generations.

By investing in high-quality nature-based carbon credits, we have not only neutralized our emissions but also contributed to the global fight against climate change. We chose to support the Inner Mongolia Chao’er Improved Forest Management Project (Verra Project ID: 1529) in China, verified by Verra, as our chosen carbon offsetting initiative. This carbon credit will also be part of the portfolio of our up-and-coming LCO2 carbon token as it’s top rated by third-party rating agency BeZero.

Ensuring Quality and Impact of the Selected Project

Before selecting the project, we conducted in-house research on the project’s quality aspects. Additionally, we used a third-party rating platform to ensure and evaluate that the project meets the highest standards, and that each carbon credit includes one tonne of carbon dioxide captured or avoided from the atmosphere.
