If you’re reading this, chances are that you come from here, here or here, and that you’re expecting an explanation for the new name for the Skybrud/Magic People merger — Limbo.

Eating our own dog food

So, as we’ve said before, actually deciding on the merger was easy. Cause it just made good old fashioned sense. Of course there was a whole bunch of stuff to talk and agree on. Even stuff to agree to disagree about. But again, it made sense. But once we’d decided to join forces, and to bury our old brands in the process, the obvious question arose:

What do we call the new agency?

We’ve done lots of naming and branding processes. We’ve helped a lot of clients figure this stuff out. But when it comes to naming ourselves, let’s just say sh**t got real.

And after much talk, thousands of suggestions. A bunch of “no, no — don’t give up. We’ll get there”, and an equal amount of “we’ll never get there” it dawned on us. We were right where we needed to be.

Stuck.

Or rather; In the eye of the storm. Between the place we came from, and the place we are going. Right where most of our clients are, when they meet us for the very first time. After they’ve seen the problem, but before they’ve found the solution. And there’s a word for that.

It’s LIMBO.

So how can we be called anything else?
