LimeChain at BlockSplit Conference
Even though Croatia and Bulgaria are pretty much close to each other, it turns out that getting to Split by plane from Sofia is an adventure itself! It took us 2 flights and a total of 5 hours to get to there, but it was worth it!
Between the 27th and 28th of April, our team flew to the beautiful city of Split, Croatia, where the first BlockSplit Conference took place. The whole experience was more than amazing — the event organisers have thought about every little detail so that their guests would feel welcomed. And we truly did!
The event brought together 600 developers and founders from around the world who all believe in the power of blockchain technology. The conference included hands-on development workshops and business-oriented presentations which shared some insights on various topics.
LimeChain’s team was represented by George Spasov, who shared his experience on off-chain storage with on-chain validation.
Paweł Cichecki, Founder & Technical Lead at Nebula Network, gave a quite interesting overview of blockchain scaling solutions. Another development talk which we particularly liked was by Robert Zaremba, Sr. Blockchain Engineer at Sweetbridge — a Swiss-based company which sponsors the development of blockchain-based economic protocols and applications to transform high-friction global supply chains into Liquid Value Networks.
As for the business talks, it was interesting to hear about the legal challenges of a token sale presented by Sonja Prstec. She is a Legal Advisor at Bitnation— a “voluntary nation” established using Ethereum smart contract technology. It was founded in 2014 and as of 2018, it has about 15,000 “citizens”.
Being part of the first BlockSplit Conference was a great opportunity and we already can’t wait for its’ second edition! Hope to see you all there!
