Perhaps it’s quick to generate artwork from text, but why would you?

You don’t have to use AI-generated images when there is a vast wealth of public domain art available to use in online posts or work presentations.

There are many arguments against AI art.

• Just as with AI generated text, AI images are generated from databases formed by scraping images on the internet and other databases without the permission of the artists and without paying those artists for their work.
• The collection, generation, and sorting of the data comes at a cost in terms of energy use and the pollution it generates.
• Workers who are tasked with removing offensive or illegal images from AI image datasets, such as child sexual abuse material, are paid low wages for soul-deadening and, at times, traumatic work.
• AI generated images are soulless. AI may fill itself with the work of humanity, but it will never be the expression of a human.
