Myxed Up wrapped up 2015 with his debut release on milc.The EP was a big step for the Colorado artist, but he doesn’t intend to ride on its success: his progression as a producer since December’s release is already evident. A fresh batch of tunes conjured up by the low end wizard ring of his dedication to the evolution of his sound. We’re excited to unveil “No Survivors” as a free download.

The track showcases Myxed Up’s sinister style and the depth that will soon be recognized as his trademark. “No Survivors” is wrought with horror movie-esque suspense. As well as building tension, its careful minimalism adds a cinematic quality — the emphasis on each individual sound summons vivid images of a serial killer’s dungeon dwelling. An eerie orchestral melody haunts the piece, complementing subdued wails and wonks hinting at dark secrets hiding beneath the setting’s surface. The track plays out like a warning, begging absolute stillness from the listener. The ominous title says it all: there are “No Survivors” here.
