Good day today, we finally found some tin through our network of friends and travelled to Nagarkot and built shelters and provided more water purifiers.
Today is my last day on this trip and I want to say a massive thank you to all of our team members, this has been so challenging in so many ways but everyone has mucked in, taken the rough with the smooth, worked hard, partied when weve had the time and energy and represented L2N in a fantastic way.
There have been lots of highs and lows, a few tears, a lot of laughs but more importantly, lots of lives changed and potentially saved.
We have so far, provided:
Essential food and aid to 27 villages, over 6000 people,
New homes to over 300 families
Life saving water purifiers to hundreds of families with many still to be distributed
Funded the rebuilding of a village school
Paid for the hospital fees and medication for a dying man who is now fully recovered.
I am proud of all our team members, our Nepalese colleagues led by Sumit, Nischal and Sunel and everyone at home who have donated, raised funds and sent messages. THANK YOU ALL.
It may be a break for me and god knows I need it but the work goes on. Leo and Harry are here for another 10 days and then our Nepali friends will carry on the work until the money runs out.
Thank you for helping us to change the lives of so many of these beautiful people. xxxxxxxxx
